Mr. Banner serves as Founder and Managing Partner of Tricrest Management (“Tricrest”), a Dallas-based private investment firm focused on direct investments in the energy sector. As Chairman of the firm’s Executive and Investment Committees, Mr. Banner oversees all aspects of the firm and is responsible for directing investment strategy.
Prior to Tricrest, Mr. Banner was the Founder and Managing Partner of EPL Partners, a private investment firm focused on upstream energy investments. Under his leadership, the firm assembled a portfolio of assets in the Permian Basin and executed a successful exit in 2021.
Mr. Banner began his career at Matador Resources Company (NYSE: MTDR), where he ultimately led investment underwriting for members of the Executive Committee during the company’s expansion in the Permian Basin. Over the course of his career, Mr. Banner has been involved in more than $4 billion of energy investment opportunities across the United States.
Mr. Banner earned a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration from the Jones School of Business at Rice University.


As Partner, Executive Vice President of Acquisitions, and Co-founder of Tricrest’s upstream platform, Mr. Maxwell is responsible for leading Tricrest’s acquisitions team and overseeing all transactions. He brings over 15 years of energy industry experience in acquisitions and divestitures, business development, and asset management.
Prior to Tricrest, Mr. Maxwell served as Director of Land at Fortis Minerals, an EnCap company, where he sourced and executed more than 300 acquisitions representing over $200 million in aggregate value. Prior to this, he served as the Delaware Basin Land Team Lead for Chevron (NYSE: CVX), where he managed a team responsible for developing and maintaining over one million net acres in the Permian Basin.
Mr. Maxwell began his career as a Petroleum Landman at Chesapeake Energy (NYSE: CHK) and has dedicated his career to acquiring and managing energy assets across the United States.
Mr. Maxwell received a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Land and Resource Management from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he also played collegiate baseball.


As Vice President at Tricrest, Mr. Woodmansee leads financial analysis and underwriting and serves on the Investment Committee, where he helps guide portfolio management and investment strategy. With a technical foundation in petroleum engineering and experience in private equity and investment banking, he brings a unique combination of operational insight and financial expertise to evaluating, executing, and managing energy investments.
Before joining Tricrest, Mr. Woodmansee was a Senior Associate at Tailwater Capital, where he was responsible for execution and investment due diligence on more than $1 billion of upstream and midstream investments. Mr. Woodmansee began his career as an analyst at Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co., focusing on upstream M&A, A&D, and restructuring transactions. Over the course of his career, he has been involved in dozens of transactions spanning every major basin in the United States.
Mr. Woodmansee holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering and a minor in Business from The University of Texas at Austin.


As Senior A&D Associate at Tricrest, Mr. Goldstein is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing mineral and non-operated working interest acquisitions across Tricrest’s core focus areas. Mr. Goldstein coordinates Tricrest’s acquisitions team and oversees the firm’s transaction pipeline, ensuring disciplined transaction execution and adherence to the firm’s standards of integrity.
Prior to joining Tricrest, Mr. Goldstein served as a Landman at Stronghold Resource Partners, where he focused on asset acquisitions and title due diligence efforts across multiple U.S. basins. He has developed extensive experience in negotiating upstream opportunities, coordinating with landowners, and managing deal execution from origination through closing.
Mr. Goldstein holds a B.B.A. in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Mississippi.


As Director of Accounting, Tax, and Compliance at Tricrest, Ms. Fisher oversees the firm’s accounting, tax, and regulatory reporting functions. She is responsible for maintaining Tricrest’s financial integrity, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and managing audit and tax processes across the firm’s investment platforms. Ms. Fisher also serves as the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer, managing all aspects of oversight and ensuring adherence to applicable regulatory requirements.
Before joining Tricrest, Ms. Fisher served as Tax Principal at The Bonadio Group, where she advised clients on federal and state tax planning, compliance, and structuring strategies. Prior to that, she spent over a decade at Howard, LLP, where she held multiple tax leadership roles and managed complex engagements for clients across the real estate, construction, and energy sectors.
Ms. Fisher is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds both a B.B.A. in Accounting and an M.B.A. from Texas Woman’s University.


As Senior Associate, Engineering at Tricrest, Ms. Moore leads the firm’s technical diligence efforts across acquisition and development opportunities. In this role, Ms. Moore performs detailed reservoir modeling, decline curve analysis, and reserves estimation to support underwriting and investment decisions. She works closely with Tricrest’s acquisition and finance teams to integrate engineering insights into the firm’s broader investment strategy.
Before joining Tricrest, Ms. Moore served as an A&D Engineer at Noble Royalties, where she played a key role in evaluating acquisition and divestiture opportunities and managing reserves across multiple U.S. basins. Ms. Moore began her career at Matador Resources Company as a Production Engineer, gaining extensive field experience through rotations in Drilling & Completions before joining the Reservoir Engineering team in the Dallas office.
Ms. Moore holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.


As A&D Analyst at Tricrest, Mr. Strickland focuses on the analysis and execution of upstream acquisitions and divestitures for the firm. In his role, Mr. Strickland also assists with managing Tricrest’s pipeline of investment opportunities.
Before joining Tricrest, Mr. Strickland served land and title functions across multiple roles in the energy industry, most recently as a Landman at Citation Oil & Gas Corp. and Noble Energy Inc.
Mr. Strickland holds a B.B.A. in Energy Management and Finance from the University of Oklahoma and is currently pursuing an M.B.A. from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas.
